VISCOELASTIC & POLYMERIC FLUIDS

With work previously done by a former lab member, we have developed a powerful tool for use in modeling hydrodynamics of complex viscoelastic fluids. A major advantage of this development is the ability to resolve polymer dynamics interacting with general shaped objects immersed in the fluid. We are currently working on applying this model to study the physics of particles intruding within polymeric fluids, with potential applications in food industry.
